Beating the Recession Small Business Fair!

Thank you for your interest in the CBS4 News Beating the Recession Small Business Fair.  As of today, all one-on-one counseling slots have been filled.  If there are no shows at the event, we will attempt to accommodate walk-in counseling requests.

Two Small Business Workshops

These small business workshops will run on the hour from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  The workshops are entitled the “Six Steps to Securing Small Business Capital” and the “Six Steps to Surviving the Recession”.  No pre-registration is necessary to participate in these workshops – walk-ins only. The “Six Steps to Securing Small Business Capital” workshop will be taught at 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.  The “Six Steps to Surviving the Recession” workshop will be taught at 2:00 pm/4:00 pm/6:00 pm.  These workshops will be filled on a first-come basis.   

Talk to a Small Business Lender about your capital needs

“Networking with a Lender” event begins at 2:00 pm and runs until 6:30 pm.  There will be over a dozen small business lenders representing multiple banks from the Denver/Aurora area.  This is an excellent opportunity to talk to a lender about your capital needs; determine what requirements banks have when lending money to small firms; and determine how the SBA’s Loan Guaranty Program can work for you.  No pre-registration is required to attend the Networking with a Lender session. Stop by anytime between 2:00 pm and 6:30 pm.

IF YOU ARE RECEIVING ONE-ON-ONE COUNSELING - BE PREPARED!  Bring your current business plan, financial statements, IRS Tax documents or other pertinent information that you want to review with your counselor.  Most counseling sessions will be 40 minutes, and allow for Q&A.
